The Town has its own Building Department to which applications for contractor licensure and building permits must be submitted prior to commencement of construction or remodeling.  Prior to issuance of a building permit, the Town requires submission of two sets of construction plans which will be reviewed by the building inspector.  A 3.25% sales and use tax on the materials will be charged when you are issued a building permit.  This is a tax deposit and a sales tax audit will be performed at the conclusion of the project, with the sales tax adjusted per materials used.

Any revision to the exterior of the property must receive the approval of the appropriate homeowner's association architectural committee prior to the issuance of a building permit..

Building Codes:  The Town has adopted the 2003 International Residential Codes.

Electrical Code:  The Town has adopted the 2003 National Electrical Code.
