Each spring and fall, the Town provides a shredding service. Residents may bring any documents or records they would like to safely destroy to Town Hall, where they can witness their destruction. All shredded paper will be recycled in an environmentally friendly manner.

- Fall: Saturday, Oct. 10, 2026
- 9 a.m. – noon

Guidelines
- This is a paper shredding event—please do not bring any other recyclables or trash.
- Bring your paper in any type of container.
- The shredding staff will dispose of plastic bags and recycle paper bags.
- Cardboard boxes, baskets, tubs, and the like will be returned to the resident.
- Staples, paper clips, and binder clips do not need to be removed.
- Plastic covers, three-ring binders, leatherbound books, hardbound books, cardboard, credit cards, photographs, and X-rays are not allowed.
- Staff will direct traffic to ensure safety and assist with transferring paper into bins.
- Please do not dump your paper and drive off.
