COVID -19 TRASH SERVICE UPDATES
- Only cart content will be accepted. Drivers will not be authorized to leave their vehicle to pick up waste outside of the cart. (if residents have “carryout” currently listed on their account due to a disability, this will continue)
- All curbside bulk collections will be suspended.
- Recycle pick-up is still active but potentially could be designated a non-essential service and would discontinue until restrictions lifted. Will let HOA’s know the potential for recycle and yard waste/compost stoppage.
The Town has a contract with Republic Waste Services for trash collection and recycling, and our pick-up day for both is Monday. Garbage and trash will be picked up between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM and should be placed at the curb, in the large blue bins provided by the Town. Each resident can put their 96-gallon container, plus three additional bags on the curb. A second bin is available through Republic for $48 per year. Bulk items can be picked up through arrangements with Republic and will be billed to the resident.
Garbage should not be placed on the street prior to the evening before the day trash is to be collected. Please store the large blue 90 gallon bins in your garage or out of sight at all other times.
Curbside recycling is also provided by the Town on every other Monday. Extra Recycle containers are available through Republic for $30 per year. Recycling is single-stream, click here for a complete list of recyclables.
Please contact the Town if you need a new/replacement bin, have an issue with service, or would like more information.
