Hazardous Materials Drop Off

Residents of Columbine Valley can safely dispose of some common household hazardous materials at the annual Household Hazardous Material Round-up held in partnership with the cities of Littleton, Englewood, and Sheridan each September.  Examples of accepted materials are:  batteries, gasoline, fluorescent lamps, motor oil, mercury and pesticides and herbicides. A co-payment is required to dispose of any materials and you must show identification demonstrating that you are a resident of Columbine Valley.

EVENT DETAILS

Residents of and businesses in the Cities of Englewood, Littleton, Sheridan, and Columbine Valley may safely dispose of household hazardous materials on the dates listed below.  Proof of residency is required.

Recycling of electronic/office equipment is available to both residents and businesses of Englewood, Littleton, Sheridan, and Columbine Valley.

Dates:          Saturday, September 17 and Saturday, September 24, 2022 – Revised dates!
Hours:          8:00 AM – 2:00 PM
Location:     Englewood Service Center, 2800 South Platte River Drive

Sponsored by the Sustainability Commission Cities of Englewood, Littleton, Sheridan and Columbine Valley.

Co-payments must be cash or check only

Accepted Materials

HOUSEHOLD HAZARDOUS MATERIALS

$20 co-payment

Limit 10 gallons per household.
Only residential material accepted.

HOUSEHOLD AND BUSINESS
ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
$20 co-payment for each television and computer monitor

$10 for all other electronic equipment

Antifreeze Audio/Video Equipment
Automotive/Household Batteries Cell, Portable and Desk Phones
Flammable liquids gasoline, kerosene, thinners Computer Monitors
Household, Lawn and Garden Chemicals Desktop, Laptop, and Tablet Computers
Mercury liquid, thermometers, relays/switches Desktop copiers
Motor Oil Handheld/Portable Devices
Oil-Based Paint Only Printers and Fax Machines
Propane Tanks Televisions
Toner and Inkjet Cartridges

The commission reminds everyone that antifreeze and motor oil can be recycled at several Englewood businesses throughout the year. For questions about accepted materials, please call 303-762-2390 or email menglund@englewoodco.gov.
