E-Waste Collection Event

Bring unwanted consumer electronics to Town Hall for recycling; a copay (to be determined) will apply to larger items.

  • Tuesday–Friday, Dec. 1–4, 2026
  • 8 a.m.–1 p.m.
  • Town Hall

Accepted Items

Items Town Hall can collect for recycling are:

  • Cell phones and tablets—no cost.
  • All computers—laptops and desktops.
  • TVs and monitors—flat screen displays, rear projection, and cathode ray tube (CRT) displays.
  • Household electronics—printers, keyboards, DVD and VCR players, stereos, video game players, fax machines, AV equipment.
  • Small appliances—microwaves, hair dryers, vacuum cleaners, fans and other household electronics. Even your old electric toothbrush base!

How E-Waste Recycling Works

The Town of Columbine Valley is working with Blue Star Recyclers for e-waste collection. This local nonprofit provides meaningful employment to individuals with neurodivergent disabilities while responsibly recycling your unwanted electronics. Blue Star Recyclers features:

  • Reuse-first philosophy: Every device gets a fair shot at a second life before it’s broken down.
  • e-Stewards Certified: Blue Star meets the most rigorous environmental and data security standards in electronics recycling.
  • Real documentation: The Town will be provided with Certificates of Destruction, serialized asset reports, and downstream vendor tracking.

Call Town Hall at 303-795-1434 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. if you have questions.
